Brunei
Brunei’s textile heritage includes richly patterned woven cloth associated with celebration and ceremony. Jong Sarat is a distinctive expression, with dense gold- or silver-thread motifs and a place in wedding dress.
It sits within the wider tradition of Kain Tenunan Brunei, encompassing different patterns and woven expressions. This chapter welcomes weaving enterprises, designers and labels introducing Bruneian craftsmanship to a wider audience.
